Insight

MISPLACED WONDER (11-12)

  • No denial of the healing

  • Wrong attribution of its source

    • We are never the hero of the story; JESUS is!

CORRECTED WITNESS (13-16)

  • (v 13) Glorified by the Father . . . Delivered Up and disowned by the people

  • (v14) Disowned righteous one . . Embraced Murderer (gave preference to)

    • You killed him . . . God raised him

    • THIS IS JESUS

      • (v 15) “but put to death the prince of life”

      • Jesus allowed himself to be nailed to the cross, but it doesn’t take away the responsibility of the ones who nailed him to the cross

      • (v 16) “faith in the one you rejected has healed the man”

        • curiosity and amazement in the lame beggar and the healing brought the people to a reality of who Jesus is

TRANSFORMED WORSHIP (17-26)

  • Repent and return (v 19)

  • Be cleansed and refreshed (v 19)

    • God told you beforehand and He has confirmed it before you

    • What are you prepared to do with this Jesus? What are you prepared to do with what you now know?

    • Be blessed and be a blessing (v 25-26)
